I wonder how long it would take me to learn how to sing, write hit music, develop a solid career and fanbase, and get in strong enough shape to do aerial acrobatics so I can fly around a stadium like Pink (stylized as P!nk), because, damn, does that ever look fun!

So much fun! I think I’ve said before there are some artists where it doesn’t even matter if I love their music or not, I will go see them live because they put on a stellar show and I know I will witness magic.

Pink is such an artist. I mean, lucky for me I also adore her music, but even if I didn’t, I would still go see her live.

Its no secret she does these aerial acrobatics in her shows. It’s no secret her sets are technicolour bright.

We all know there are dancers, and costume changes, and pyrotechnics, and confetti, and all the glitz and glam of an amazing show, just in and of itself. So I would go, just for the experience. And so I did. August 31, 2024 at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.

But I really do love her music. She has given us 20 some years of catchy, tongue in cheek, fun party songs; serious, emotional, heart-breaking ballads, and everything in between. And she delivers them all with such a beautiful, strong voice. She is a powerhouse of a vocalist.

I mean the core strength it takes to just do those aerial moves, yet to sing while doing them?!?!?! The answer to my opening question is I can only imagine the training involved in accomplishing these feats and across a world tour, and so I will leave it to Pink, and my path will continue to be spectator.

Also I have no natural talent to start this process with, so there’s that :D. Still, it looks sooooo fun!

This whole concert was the epitome of fun. A girls’ night of sequins, boas, pink, and Pink (well – none of my friends nor I wore sequins or boas, but there sure was a happy abundance all around us! I LOOOOVE how some concerts have become an opportunity to cosplay and bedazzle the world!).

Fun laid out for us by the high-energy, super nice, crazy funny, and effervescent Pink.

Fun flooding our senses, uncontainable and overflowing out of the very large and completely filled Commonwealth Stadium.

A most welcome avalanche of that breath-taking aerial work:

beautiful, spectacular, super cool dancing;

acrobatic leaps from tall scaffolding onto trampolines; multiple rounds of fireworks, and so much more.

All enveloped in those equally super-cool technicolour costume changes, and, of course, the songs. All the hits you’d expect and a smattering of new (to me, anyways) stuff.

Fun that began with the incredible openers: The Script and Sheryl Crow (dressed in pink and also singing all the favourites).

It truly was a Summer Carnival.

I am definitely jealous. Pink and Cheryl Crow in one concert – that is a great line-up. I also heard she will be touring with Brandi Carlisle – if you hear about that duo heading our way let me know! But I am so happy you got to attend and see and feel the joy – I wish I could have been there. Maybe next tour.
